Anti-virus and network management supplier McAfee Associates Inc, Santa Clara, California, is due to launch the latest version of its Saber LAN Workstation right around now. Saber LAN Workstation version 6.0, the company’s flagship network manage-ment product, will now offer full desktop manage-ment support for Windows 3.1, Windows95, Windows NT and MS-DOS clients. A set of asset management functions are also available in version 6.0, including site inventory with multi-server Internet Protocol support, Windows95 and Windows NT local software metering, as well as the ability to distribute applications from both NT and NetWare servers. Available from the end of the month, version 6.0 will sell for $8,200 for a two-year license for 100 users, $4,300 for a similar 50-user license, and $2,250 for a 25-user license.
