Struggling Datapoint Corp, the San Antonio, Texas company that is pinning its future hopes on its automatic call distribution systems business these days, has succeeded in keeping the wolf from the door for a short while longer. Datapoint’s auditors last week questioned whether the company could continue as a going concern (CI No 2,545), but the company announced late Wednesday that it has found buyers for enough non-essential assets to raise cash sufficient to meet its near-term obligations. The funds will be used to make a $2.9m interest payment on its 8.875% convertible subordinated debentures due December 1 1994 and provide some near-term working capital.
