Apple Computer Inc may not be sweeping all before it in the way that it could if it were able to meet demand for all models of its Power Macintosh, but it is still growing fast, and the latest earnest is that it announced yesterday that it is to expand its operations in Cork, Eire, creating 600 new jobs in the next three years. The expansion, which is being backed by the Industrial Development Authority will bring total direct employment at Apple in Cork to almost 2,000 when completed in 1998, Enterprise & Employment Minister Richard Bruton said in a statement.
