Hyannis, Massachusetts-based Fibronics International Inc, acquired last January by Haifa, Israel-based Elbit Ltd (CI No 2,449), has launched concentrator boards and a Token Ring extension module for its GigaHub Asynchronous Transfer Mode-ready hub. The offerings are said to be optimised for data grade cabling, such as shielded twisted pair and FTP Category 5, with the boards featuring an in-built jitter elimination module. The LC362/P board supports 12 shielded RJ-45 lobe ports and one extension module, while the LC366/P is said to provide lobe attachment for 16 shielded RJ-45 lobe ports. The company says that the EM36x extension module features a shielded/unshielded twisted pair RI/RO trunk line with automatic wrap capabilities, and is specifically designed for rack connections. The offerings are shipping now, at prices starting from ú1,500.
