Hewlett-Packard Co has cut prices across its HP NetServer Series of iAPX-86-based servers, and the disk drives that go with them, with disks for the HP NetServer LC, LF, LH, LM and LS Series cut by up to 25% and system prices cut by up to 5%. The 4Gb hot-swap drive is reduced by 25% to $1,988, the 2Gb hot-swap drive falls 15% to $1,277 from $1,511 and the 1Gb disk drive by 15% to $593. The high-end HP NetServer LS Series, the 5/100 Model 8400, with four processors, 64Mb and 1Mb of cache per processor, is cut by 3% to $14,246; the hard drive models of the NetServer LH fall 2%, the LF falls 5%, the LC is cut 4%.
