TakeFive Software GmbH, the Salzburg, Austria firm whose Sniff++ C and C++ development tools were used by Taligent Inc to create the CommonPoint object application system, is preparing Windows NT and Windows95 beta releases of its tools for release on November 1. Other work in hand includes providing application programming interfaces to its code parser for independent software vendors, an Interface Definition Language implementation, and custom language implementations for corporates such as phone companies. Also under way is a client-server implementation – it’s stand-alone right now – and re-integration of enhancements created by Sniff++ users such as Tandem Computers Inc and Amdahl Corp.
