Reading, Berkshire-headquartered VAX communications company Integralis Ltd has unveiled a software-based UAF-based administrator for VMS networks. According to the company, the AUA/VMS will enable VMS systems to be grouped into logical domains, overlapping if necessary to reflect patterns of usage. It says that all user parameters appear on a single screen, including password modifications, privileges, types of access and account initialisation. System administrators are said to be able to log in remotely to any network node from within AUA, which uses standard VMS interfaces to the VMS Audit Server and UAF databases. The offering uses the Motif interface; no price or availability yet.
