Under the agreements between Microsoft Corp and the new DreamWorks SKG movie studio formed by Stephen Spielberg, Dave Geffen and Jeffrey Katzenberg, the Redmonder will buy a small undisclosed stake in the studio and will form DreamWorks Interactive as a 50-50 joint venture, initially capitalised at $30m but targeting sales of several hundred million dollars in revenues within two or three years, from new interactive and multimedia entertainment products. It looks to hire up to 75 people over the next 12 months, and it is thinking in terms of two dozen titles a year, with the first ones planned for Christmas 1996.
