ADC Telecommunications Inc of Minneapolis has acquired 80% of Solitra Oy of Kempele, Finland to expand its wireless physical infrastructure capabilities. The other 20% will be transferred over the next three years. ADC has paid an initial $41m and additional cash payments will be made between November 1 this year and October 31 1999, subject to Solitra’s achieving pre-set goals. Solitra manufactures radio frequency filters and other wireless base station equipment, and grew about 70% to $17m i n 1995.
