Rorke Data, an Avnet company, has introduced the Galaxy Aurora 36, a new model within its Galaxy storage product line at the 2011 NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) Show.
The Galaxy Aurora 36 is optimised to support high-resolution media and entertainment content creation workflows; and can be positioned as a direct-attach RAID system or used with most high-performance storage area network (SAN) applications.
The new storage offering features include: up to 4500MB/sec transfer rates in a single 36-bay enclosure; 108TB per enclosure, lower capacity 12- or 24-bay enclosure options; and SAN-ready compatibility with HyperFS, Xsan, StorNext, FibreJet and MetaSAN.
Further, the new offering also provides comprehensive management features including: Zero Impact Drive Rebuild; Real-Time Initiator (RTI); Drive Performance Tracking; and Trace I/O Command Tracking.
