Canadian mobile music company PushLife has announced that it has been acquired by Google.
PushLife said on its website that it would join Google’s engineering team in Canada to help build mobile applications.
It said, "As Google is driving innovation on the mobile Web across a wide variety of areas, we thought joining the company would be a perfect fit."
Founded in 2008 by former Research In Motion employee Raymond Reddy, PushLife service allows users to buy and synchronise music on their phones with music libraries on their PCs.
Recently, the company introduced an application for BlackBerrys and smartphones running Google’s Android. The services are not available on iPhones as of now.
Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
