Vanguard Software Solutions (VSS), a provider of H.264 CODEC SDK, will launch its new CODEC technology at NAB2011.
The new VSS software SDK addresses the market trends of broadcast ingest, contribution and distribution, said the company.
VSS provides offerings for Internet and Mobile Adaptive Streaming, Wireless ENG, Blu-ray authoring and the upcoming 3D streaming markets.
The new v4.6 of their multi-platform software Encoder and Decoder SDK introduces the following features: AVC-Intra class50, 100 and 200 CODEC; ParallelStream Transcoder, high efficiency parallel adaptive stream generation; GPU acceleration including NVDIA CUDA and Intel Sandy Bridge; and Error Resilience and Prioritisation for SVC real-time coding for Wireless ENG.
In addition, Vanguard Software Solutions (VSS) will launch ParallelStreamer offerings which include Live and Cloud Transcoding for Internet and Mobile Adaptive streaming and the new vCompress PRO, a desktop offline encoder for Blu-ray Authoring in 2D or 3D, and other offline file formats.
Vanguard Software Solutions marketing vice-president Felix Nemirovsky said with their SDK at the core of their offerings they can enable all new applications of live and offline coding.
"To build on our success of Live Adaptive Stream Encoding and Blu-ray authoring, we are now targeting 3D streaming with MVC tools, multi-channel Wireless ENG with our SVC tools and Mobile Video communications with our GPU accelerated SDK and ARM based SDK," Nemirovsky said.
