Compaq Computer Corp enhanced its home computer line with 12 new models including the first using the Nx586. The new 80486-based 500 Series models range from $1,850 to $2,000 and include built-in stereo speakers, speakerphone and television capability in the Presario CDTV 528. The Compaq Presario 700 Series, in both 80486 and Nxc586 models and quad-speed CD-ROM, go from $1,700 to $2,100 without monitor. The Presario 900 Series also has 80486 and Nx586 models and cost $1,800 to $3,000. The 75MHz Nx586 models are available now, 90MHz and 100MHz models follow later.
