Cambex Corporation, Waltham, Massachusetts, reported a net loss of $988,000, or $0.11 per share on revenues of $8,020,000 for the quarter ended March 30, 1996, blaming the loss on software compatibility problems between its Cascade products and IBM’s Model 6 controller’s micro- code, which forced the company to stop shipments of some Cascade kit in December 1995. It expects to be profitable in the second quarter with new versions of its memory and disk systems.
