Mobile operator UK 3 will sell a high-speed mobile broadband dongle based on evolved high-speed packet access (HSPA+) technology.

The company said that the E367 dongle, which is manufactured by Chinese company Huawei, is its fastest offering for mobile broadband and to include HSPA+ technology.

Three said that the "latest HSPA+ technology" makes it possible for the dongle to offer speeds up to "40 per cent" faster than "some" of its other dongles. The company revealed that the new dongle can also be rotated and made to point vertically upwards, which will "allow it to grab hold of our 3G network more easily" and occupy less horizontal space.

One can buy the dongle online and the product will hit stores on 7 April. Buying it on Pay as you go (PAYG) will have a 1GB data allowance and a price of £69.99.

Existing customers can also upgrade their current dongles for £60. For new customers, the dongle comes free with a purchase of 15GB monthly package on a two year contract for £18.03 per month.
