Jive Software, a provider of independent social business software, has appointed Charles (Chuck) Robel, former chairman of the board of McAfee (now part of Intel), David DeWalt, president of McAfee, Jonathan Heiliger, vice-president of technical operations at Facebook and Sundar Pichai, vice-president of Product Management at Google to its board of directors.

The new Board members bring to Jive experience in defining new markets, creating breakthrough technology, and building game-changing companies, said Jive.

The company said that the new board of directors will help guide Jive on the next phase of growth in the rapidly expanding social business software market.

Jive’s board of directors also include: private investor Bill Lanfri; Jive co-founder Bill Lynch; general partner at Sequoia Capital Jim Goetz; managing partner at Kleiner Perkins Ted Schlein; and Jive CEO Tony Zingale.

Zingale said the company is thrilled to welcome the forward-thinking leaders to their board of directors.
