Berlingske Media, a Denmark-based media house producing content for print, online, Web-TV, radio and mobile phones, has selected Talend MDM, an open source master data management offering, as part of its corporate wide program for "customer centricity."

The Talend MDM offering masters customer and product data across multiple systems in order to create a single version of truth for analysis and operational support, said the company.

Talend MDM is also a complete master data management offering that provides value throughout an entire MDM implementation from profiling and quality to integration, modelling, mastering and workflow. The features of Talend MDM allow organisations to deploy a master data management foundation and enable an iterative approach to success, said the company.

Berlingske Media is the parent company of 11 national and regional daily newspapers and approximately 50 local newspapers. Its printing works service both the group and outside clients.

Berlingske Media chief information officer Torben Lundberg said the company recognised the importance of choosing the right MDM offering for their unique set of requirements. Lundberg added they expect that Talend MDM will integrate all of their data, while helping them aggregate and organise their customer data.

Lundberg continued, "We have set ourselves very ambitious goals with our customer centric programme, and with over two and a half million customers it is essential that our data management tool makes us able to share customer data across our entire business and secure data quality as well as cross analyse and segment easily and accurately through the huge amounts of data. It is also essential that we have the flexibility to grow the initiative from a small scale before involving all of our data, ensuring that our master hub is completely accurate."
