Apple Computer Inc has decided to hand its orphaned eWorld on- line subscribers (CI 2865)- over to America Online Inc. The eWorld subscribers will be encouraged to switch their allegiance to the Reston, Virginia on-line services operator, and Apple will bundle the America Online access software with some of the computer lines it sells in North America. It also plans to boost its technical support services and develop interactive programming for America Online. AOL may soon have its finger in another pie- it is in talks with AT&T about giving AT&T customers direct access to AOL information services.
