CrossComm Corp, Marlborough, Massachusetts router manufacturer, primarily making devices to link Ethernet and Token Ring local networks, is to buy a stake of about 33% in struggling Westborough-based Proteon Inc, according to Network World. The value of such a stake would be $30m to $40m at current prices. Proteon says only that it has already said it is exploring partnerships.
