In a low key affair, Google has launched its new full-length e-magazine dedicated to the world of data for businesses "Think Quarterly", based out of the UK.

The search engine firm said the objective of the quarterly publication is to provide online businessmen and other users a "breathing space in a busy world."

Google UK & Ireland Operations managing director Matt Brittin said, "At Google, we often think that speed is the forgotten ‘killer application’ – the ingredient that can differentiate winners from the rest. We know that the faster we deliver results, the more useful people find our service. But in a world of accelerating change, we all need time to reflect."

Brittin added, "Think Quarterly is a breathing space in a busy world. It’s a place to take time out and consider what’s happening and why it matters."

The first edition of the magazine with comprises in-depth analysis, exhaustive studies and interviews about data and its impact on business. Some of the technology leaders featured in the first edition includes Vodafone UK CEO Guy Laurence and Google chief economist Hal Varian.

The publishing contract for Think Quarterly is held by creative agency The Church of London, which has extended a design similar to its own website to the magazine.

The layout has lot of white space and the headings in a font that is similar to old typewriter fonts. There is an extensive use of graphics with abstract figures of human beings, machines and symbols.

The colours used are pleasing and are predominantly blue, shades of pink and yellow. The magazine also has color-coded tags for easy navigation and search.

Brittin said, "Our first issue is dedicated to Data – amongst a morass of information, how can you find the magic metrics that will help transform your business? We hope that you find inspiration, insights, and more, in Think Quarterly."

Google has also launched a Twitter account for the online magazine.
