STC, a national telecommunications provider in Saudi Arabia, has selected Motive, a provider of customer experience management offerings for fixed and mobile broadband services, and Alcatel-Lucent, to deliver its Network Analyser – Fiber (NA-F) offering.

Motive’s NA-F offering is expected to reduce the complexity of delivering and managing new fiber services of STCs high-speed Internet and IPTV.

The offering improves customer service; reduces customer support handling times; and generae new revenue by simplifying processes needed to increase line speeds.

In addition, the offering provides STC with a comprehensive line testing and quality management tool that ensures its fiber lines meet quality and stability requirements for the deployment of advanced services.

STC said that when NA-F offering is combined with Motive Home Device Manager and ServiceView, it will have a single, consolidated view and control over the company’s services from the access network into the home, enabling them to add on services or resolve problems efficiently.

The Network Analyser provides service providers with additional quality-of-service management capabilities for their copper and fiber networks by providing network operations and front line customer support organisations with the power to track performance in real time, from network provisioning and service performance to line maintenance and upgrades, and resolve customer service issues.

The Motive’s customer experience management products are designed to operate over any vendor’s network.

Alcatel-Lucent Middle East and Africa head Amr El Leithy said STC operates a multi-vendor network and is committed to delivering customer experience with operational efficiency.

"By deploying the Motive Network Analyser-Fiber offering, we provide them a single offering that unifies management of the entire network, regardless of whose product is involved," Leithy said.
