Google’s new update to its cloud-based office software Google Docs has new features for faster and more organised discussions among users, said the company.
The new update has improved commenting. Each comment now has a time-stamp and profile picture. It also has simple e-mail notifications by mentioning e-mail addresses in comments.
Another new editing feature for individual comments is the provision to resolve comments. Users no longer have to delete the comments in an existing doc, they could remove them by resolving them.
Google Docs already had simple commenting functions. Last year Google added advanced collaboration tools to Docs that included a space for users to discuss work on individual documents.
