Software Emancipation Technology Inc, Waltham, Massachusetts developer of ParaSET, a development environment designed for teams of C/C++ software engineers working on medium to large-scale projects. has raised $1.25m in venture funding from its existing investors Charles River Ventures, Draper Associates, Walsh, Greenwood & Co and others. The new cash will be used to increase the company’s market presence and for sales channel expansion efforts. ParaSET is described as the first groupware development environment for C/C++ that automatically synchronises all key phases of the development process, and is designed to enable developers to increase the speed and accuracy of their work, and to help managers to co-ordinate their development groups’ efforts more effectively.
