Influxis, a provider of streaming offerings, will launch a new hosting service for ElectroServer 5, a scalable networking engine for real-time multiplayer social app and game development from Electrotank.
The hosted service for ElectroServer 5 offers developers a seamless offering for developing, testing and operating apps and games across Flash, Unity, iPhone/iPad, Android, and HTML5, said the company.
In addition, the new offering leverages on a scalable 2nd-generation binary protocol, a flexible framework of interoperable extensions, UDP protocol for apps with heavy packet volume, an efficient approach to shipping data across the network via ESObjects, new cloud-friendly remote Admin Tool, native HTTP tunneling, and native encryption.
The company said that the new service will help developers leverage the capabilities via hands-on expert developer support for ES5 while its international server network ensures reliable hosting for development and instant scalability for testing and release.
Influxis CEO Richard Blakely said ElectroServer has the potential to be the defacto standard for social gaming and already it is in its 5th version and has been battle-tested for years and is solid and scalable.
