Computer Associates International Inc has unveiled the 1.1 revision of its CA-Unicenter systems management environment, supporting version 2 of Simple Network Management Protocol. Version 1.1 can run as an application from within established SNMP systems such as SunNet Manager, HP OpenView and IBM NetView for AIX. It can also be configured as a console to receive SNMP events. CA-Unicenter includes security, scheduling, back-up, archive and restore and console automation. It is up on Solaris, HP-UX, DG/UX, AIX and Dynix/ptx with Windows NT, OS/2 and NetWare versions due this quarter.
