Quest Software has reported total net revenue of $216.8m for the fourth quarter of 2010, an increase of 11.5% compared to $194.5m for the same period last year.

Revenues from lincense and services grew 11.4% year-over-year to $98m and $118.8m, respectively.

The company posted an operating income of $31.2m for the fourth quarter of 2010, compared to $45.5m for the same period last year.

For the fourth quarter ended December 31 2010, the company posted net income of $30.2m, a decrease of 18.4% compared to a net income of $37m for the same quarter a year ago.

Net income per diluted share was down by 20% to $0.32 from $0.40 per share for year ago quarter.

For fiscal year 2010, the company’s revenue, operating income and net income increased to $767.1m, $120.6m and $98.6m, respectively.

Quest Software president and CEO Doug Garn said in 2010 the company delivered 14% non-GAAP operating income growth to $177.4 and 16% diluted earnings per share growth to $1.45 per fully diluted share.

"Our 14.8% increase in license revenue demonstrates the strength of the market momentum we are seeing and with our strong technology and services portfolio, coupled with a compelling product roadmap, we remain confident that we will continue to extend our market leadership into the future," Garn said.
