InfoSpace, a provider of metasearch products, has extended its association with Yahoo by signing a three-year agreement to continue the delivery of search results and text-based advertising listings from Yahoo in its network of metasearch properties and affiliates.

Metasearch technology allows InfoSpace to aggregate, filter, and prioritise results from several of the largest online search engines, to provide fast and comprehensive search results.

InfoSpace leverages its metasearch technology to provide a portfolio of websites including Dogpile, WebCrawler, MetaCrawler and WebFetch.

InfoSpace business development vice-presidnet Mike Glover said the company is delighted to announce the extension of their 12-year relationship with Yahoo.

"This agreement reinforces the value proposition of our metasearch offerings and ensures that millions of InfoSpace users will continue to benefit from the most comprehensive and relevant results on the Internet," Glover said.

Yahoo partnerships and operations vice-president Finnegan Faldi said InfoSpace metasearch technology ties in well with their strategic alliance with Microsoft’s search platform, providing greater improvements and results in search queries, and better monetisation and value for their advertisers.
