Enterprise cloud computing startup Okta has unveiled a new on-demand identity and access management offering that it said helps businesses speed up the adoption of their cloud and web-based applications.

The new offering will provide centrally secure and control access to applications while providing end users with a single sign-on for all of their web apps, Okta said.

Enterprises everywhere are realising the benefits of running their core IT services in the cloud, said Todd CEO Todd McKinnon.

He added that the new offering helps customers secure and manage their entire cloud services network and the people who need access to it, with no professional services required.

"We now have one active directory integration for all of our cloud applications, users have one-click access to their Web-based apps, and IT has centralized control of user access with a high degree of automation."

The company said it can address the security and management problems by integrating cloud applications with existing directory services, controlling access across applications, provisioning and de-provisioning employees, and centrally analysing usage across all applications.

The company said that it provides end users with a single sign-on across all of their applications, eliminating password fatigue and improving their productivity.
