Product lifecycle management software vendor PTC has reported revenues of $266.6m for the first quarter of 2011, an increase of 3.2%compared to $258.4m in the same quarter previous year.

The company registered a decline of 23.3% in operating income to $17.1m compared to $22.3m for the first quarter of fiscal 2010.

For the first quarter ended January 1 2011, the net income of the company decreased by 25.7% to $13.3m compared to $17.9m in the previous year quarter and diluted EPS decreased to $0.11 compared to $0.15 in the year-ago quarter.

PTC president and CEO James Heppelmann said the company is pleased to see that their license revenue of $75.5m included 36% year-over-year growth in Desktop license revenue, led by significant strength with several large customers and matched with broad-based strength in the SMB market.

For second quarter of 2011, the company expects revenue between $260m and $270m and non-GAAP EPS between $0.22 and $0.26.
