Tridium, a provider of software frameworks, and automation infrastructure technology, has said that ServiceU, a software development company, has selected the NiagaraAX Framework as the technology platform for EventU Green, an event management tool that automates heating and air conditioning schedules.
ServiceU, a NiagaraAX certified developer, has developed EventU Green as an add-on to the company’s EventU system, the complete online offering for scheduling and managing events for large multi-purpose facilities such as churches, schools, and civic centers since 1999.
EventU Green automatically updates the NiagaraAX schedules, if the staff of an organisation adds, changes, or deletes event schedules and room reservations in EventU, the company said.
The company claims that the staff members need not contact the facility manager every time an HVAC schedule change needs to be made, enabling facility manager to focus on important duties and providing him with visibility and control of schedules through NiagaraAX.
ServiceU chief executive officer Tim Whitehorn said by integrating with NiagaraAX, EventU Green now has the ability to work with virtually any modern HVAC system regardless of manufacturer.
Tridium vice president global marketing and communications Marc Petock said the Niagara Framework provides a new and cost effective offering that will be compatible and interoperable with any of today’s HVAC systems.
