Unisys has launched a new user interface service as part of the company’s IT service management (ITSM) solution that tracks the performance of IT services.

The Unisys VantagePoint service centre uses analytics to collect data from multiple sources, providing users with a customised view of data, such as performance and service-level agreements (SLAs), relevant to their jobs.

The company said it should improve decision-making for business leaders who usually rely on traditional dashboards that capture data only from one system or technology provider.

Larry Dunn, VP of solution portfolio management at Unisys, said: "IT and business leaders are awash in data but often lack practical, personalised information needed to help them do their jobs.

"Through the use of advanced analytics capabilities, we transform data into truly useful information for making informed business decisions and minimising the adverse business impact of service events on the organisation."

Unisys, which recently won three contract from UK building societies, said the solution should also help IT organisations to track costs from external and internal providers.
