Catbird says it has reinforced its commitment to EMEA by providing support for European compliance standards.
Catbird will be supporting the new ISO27001:2013 certification – widely used in Europe – and the new Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards 3.0 (PCI DSS), a worldwide standard in card processing.
With automated compliance enforcement mapping to these standards, Catbird say their vSecurity provides IT and security personnel the control and assurance they need to pass their audits.
The new ISO27001:2013 certification is the information security standard that is now accepted as best practice across the EU and globally. The certification covers a wide range of security considerations and controls to ensure that organisations manage information security risk in an effective manner.
Alongside the new ISO27001:2013 certification, Catbird also provides control, automation and compliance enforcement for other standards in cloud-based data centres, including FISMA, NIST, and HIPAA, as well as the upcoming Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards 3.0, due to be announced in November. The ISO certification and PCI DSS 3.0 will be integrated into upcoming versions of vSecurity.

The new version of ISO27001:2013 cancels and replaces the 2005 standard and now includes a dedicated section on outsourcing, which reflects the fact that more organisations are relying on third parties to provide IT services.
Catbird will begin supporting ISO27001:2013 and PCI DSS 3.0 in Q1 2014.
