A new security app called iWelcome has been released for businesses, enabling access to information more efficiently and safely.

The app, which is available for the Android, iOS and BlackBerry, is based on a two step verification process that provides access to a company’s resources.

Users create a single username and password via the app that generates a code. As long as users remember these details, full access to their company’s network, applications and documents is granted.

iWelcome and Service2Media, the team behind the app, said iWelcome provides you with secure and easy access to all of your applications, regardless of where the application is deployed.

Danny de Vreeze, CEO of iWelcome, said: "Everyone knows the situation. You’re using multiple applications on a daily basis to perform your job. And these applications can be anywhere: On the company’s network, hosted by one of the companies you work with, or on the Internet."

Derk Tegeler, security director at Service2Media, added: "Developing security apps using the M2Active platform makes code authouring much more efficient and clear; there is only a single source code to assess."

Other features include a QR code reader and a PIN code that can be disabled remotely by the system administrator if a device is lost or stolen, while users can customise the app’s display and code design to suit their taste.
