UK based industrial software, systems and control equipment supplier Invensys has acquired the US-based HMI and embedded software provider InduSoft for undisclosed sum.

Founded in 1997, InduSoft has provided over 250,000 HMI software licenses to more than 700 customers across the globe including industrial computer manufacturers as well as machine and system builders that embed its software into their products.

Invensys software business president Ravi Gopinath said InduSoft strengthens and broadens the company’s software applications portfolio in the embedded HMI segment and provides a continuing driver for growth.

"They have a proven and experienced team who we are very happy to welcome to Invensys," Gopinath said.

InduSoft president Marcia Gadbois said that combined with Invensys’ existing software offerings the company’s capabilities and expertise in the OEM and machine-building segments allow it to provide HMI, SCADA and MES applications to its customers.

"Together, our software tools will make it easier for them to integrate their information and automation systems," Gadbois said.

InduSoft will continue to be managed by its existing executive team, adding employees to Invensys operations in the US, Brazil and Germany.
