CloudTalent, an IT infrastructure startup, is campaigning to recruit campaign 1000 new experts in London, following recent upbeat reports of a recovering economy.
The campaign is expected to attract new recruits including subject matter experts to project leads with the hope of managing the CloudTalent’s demand for IT consultancy.
The UK-based company said they launched their recruitment campaign yesterday, which involved 20 actors dressed as office workers, with only their heads and hands painted blue.
Adrian Overall, CEO of CloudTalent, said the only way to keep growing is with the support of new talent.
‘We could have advertised the opportunities in the traditional way, but we’re not traditional, so our methods of recruitment shouldn’t be. Monday mornings have always been a time for people to reflect on their current employment situation, so we wanted to grab their attention at the start of the working week," he explained.
Ricky Lewis, a CloudTalent Associate, said one of the highlights of joining the company was attending the boot camp training.
"We were taken through the CloudTalent approach, which focused on removing friction and getting things done. This fits in perfectly with my own work ethic, and really helped me to feel supported in making a difference," he said.
Mark Hoban, the UK’s minister for employment, added: "This is a great example of the growing faith in the strength of the UK economy, which is giving businesses, like those in the IT sector, the confidence to hire more staff.
"Just last week we heard that the private sector has created jobs for an additional 1.4m people under this government. There are now more people employed in the private sector than ever before."
