The developers of a noir detective game have taken to Kickstarter to try and complete the project.
US-based Glass Bottom Games hopes to raise $20,000 to fund the final six months of creating Hot Tin Roof: The Cat That Wore a Fedora.
The game sees private sleuth Emma Jones, "a two-bit gal in an 8-bit world", and her feline sidekick Franky investigating a number of murders.
The 3D side-scrolling platformer game has already completed its pre-production phase but needs more money to fund the last stages of development.
The team explained: "To get Hot Tin Roof this far took 5 months, and most of our savings. The core side-scrolling, platforming and revolver tech is solid, but we’ve got a long ways to go in terms of adding content and fleshing out the world.
"The $20k buys us the six more months we need to finish and polish the game."

The game, if funded by the deadline of Sunday, September 29, will be made available on PC, Mac and Linux, with possible expansion onto other platforms.
It comes after game developer Giant Spacekat successfully raised money to fund their iPad game through the crowdfunding site.
The development team raised the necessary $5,000 to complete scifi game Revolution 60 inside a week, unlocking further goals including a $10,000 target to create a Mac version of the game, with a PC game already slated for production.
Glass Bottom Games said more features could be added to Hot Tin Roof if further funding goals are unlocked.
The team said: "We’re going to deliver a rock-solid, fantastic game, and stretch goals will just expand on that game, adding new regions to explore, more abilities to unlock, cooler AI and additional character behaviors, etc."
