Software provider Metalogix has bought Axceler’s SharePoint Business for an undisclosed amount.
The deal includes Axceler’s products, including the widely adopted governance and administration product, ControlPoint for SharePoint Administration, and employees, assets and brands.
The Washington based company said it would integrate Axceler’s ControlPoint for SharePoint Administration into its own Content Matrix and StoragePoint management and migration tools.
Steven Murphy, CEO at Metalogix, believes the new product : "This investment is another milestone in our strategy to provide customers the best-of-breed content infrastructure software to deploy, operate and protect their Microsoft SharePoint platform, on-premise or in the cloud."
Michael Alden, CEO at Axceler, added: "The integration of Axceler’s SharePoint business with Metalogix is a natural evolution of the market and will drive significant value for those managing contemporary SharePoint environments."
