Dell has updated its Latitude line of business with the introduction of the new Latitude 3000, 5000 and 7000 series laptops.
The new devices run on the Windows 8 and come with touch display options.
The Latitude 7000 Series are Ultrabooks that are available as a 12-inch model with a weight of 1.3kg.
The devices come with integrated management capabilities including Dell-unique Intel vPro extensions and automated tools that plug into Microsoft System Center and Dell KACE.
The devices feature security applications that offer encryption, authentication, malware protection from a single source and FIPS 140-2 certification for system disk encryption.
The Latitude 5000 Series devices are powered by Intel Core i7 low voltage processors, which the company said will offer better battery life with discrete graphics option and visual experience as well as solid state hybrid drive options.
Latitude 3000 Series devices are powered by the 4th Generation Intel Core processors with Turbo Mode that provide speed data processing, while the devices also feature discrete graphics with up to 2GB video memory.
All the devices have Corning Gorilla Glass NBT on the touch displays that protect it from damage and offer improved brightness.
Other features include mobile broadband, bluetooth and wireless LAN options for connectivity.
Dell has scheduled the launch of the 7000 and 5000 Series from 12 September 2013, while the Latitude 3000 Series will be made available from October this year.
