Twitter said it has updated its TweetDeck with a new tweet panel, making it easier for users to tweet, send DMs and share images.
The microblogging site is planning to roll out the changes gradually, starting with versions for the Web and Chrome, followed by Windows and Mac apps.
Users can operate the New Tweet panel from a new Tweet button or by responding to a Tweet. There are also a few other buttons below the Tweet box including Add image, Schedule Tweet and Direct message.
The revamp would enable users to add an image to their tweet, with a preview shown on the right hand side of the new tweet panel. The image can be removed from the Tweet by clicking on the ‘x’ icon.
The service will automatically reduce links in tweets to 22 characters, while displaying the original URL.
