Lenovo has introduced new ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch, which is optimised for Windows 8 adding a touch experience to the business class Ultrabook.
Developed from lightweight carbon fibre, the X1 Carbon Touch is a 14" touch notebook that weighs 3.4 pounds, measures 20.8mm thin.
The company claims that the new X1 Carbon Touch is suitable for mobile professionals who demand mobility along with entertainment features as well as want to experience the simplicity of touch gesture control.
It claims to help users to interact naturally with smooth 10-finger touch on the 14-inch HD+ display and further enrich their Windows 8 experience using the large multi-gesture glass touchpad.
Lenovo’s X1 Carbon Touch, which is certified as the first Ultrabook optimised for Microsoft Lync, is powered by Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and features a Dolby Home Theater v4.
The HD face-tracking camera and dual array microphones ensure enahnced quality video and voice track capability without the need for USB peripherals.
It also includes security and manageability features including vPro, Integrated Fingerprint Reader, Trusted Platform Module and BIOS encryption.
Lenovo’s RapidCharge technology is claimed to provide fast charge times while the eight hours of battery life and optional 3G connectivity ensures maximum productivity.
