EAD’s security and defense unit Cassidian has secured a contract from the British Parliament to provide ICT (information communication technology) security services to protect the ICT environment from cyber attack.
The undisclosed amount of contract will run from April and under the deal the company will provide ICT services for an initial period of three years.
Cassidian was selected by CESG, the Information Assurance wing of the UK Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) and Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) in 2012.
The was selected as one of four commercial cybersecurity enterprises to work with the UK authorities on the Cyber Incident Response pilot programme.
This is one of the first contracts to be awarded to an approved supplier of cybersecurity and network services from the PSN (Public Services Network) framework.
