HTC has reported 36.9% drop in its revenue to NT$42.8bn ($1.42bn) during the first quarter of 2013 from the NT$67.79bn ($2.25bn) it reported for the same period of 2012.
The company reported an unaudited operating income of NT$43m ($1.42m) during the quarter, decline from NT$5,099m ($169.2m) for the same period prior year.
During the quarter, the company posted a net income of NT$85m ($2.82m) that dropped from NT$4,464m ($148.2m) in the same period of the previous year.
HTC recorded NT$0.10 ($0.003) of earnings per share based on 831,227 thousand weighted average number of shares, a decline compared to the NT$5.35 ($0.177) based on 834,256 thousand weighted average number of shares in the previous year.
Earlier, HTC had launched its android based smartphone HTC-ONE in the UK, powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, has a 2GB of RAM and runs on the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with a new HTC Sense.
