Warner Bros.has launched its new online video streaming service which will offer vintage TV shows and films dating back to the 1920s, joining the services offered by Netflix and Hulu Plus.

The service, which is currently being offered in the US at $10 per month following a free two-week trial, enables users to watch the movies on a computer or through a Roku streaming television box.

Warner Bros. Digital Distribution president Thomas Gewecke said these are exceptional, high-quality, deep library titles that are often not available. "It’s a great opportunity to serve customers who are fans of classic movies and TV shows," Gewecke said.

The company is also planning to launch the 1080p streaming service for PC and Mac users in addition to other connected devices in the future.

Warner Bros. content library includes movies such as Superman, the original Jericho, Tarzan, Bad Day at Black Rock, among many others.
