EE will launch the BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 (BES 10) for its corporate and public sector business customers in the UK from the 2nd of April.

The launch will make EE the first operator in the UK to offer the service, the company said. BES 10 combines BlackBerry security with mobile device and application management for BlackBerry 10 smartphones and BlackBerry PlayBook tablets, while also offering mobile device management for devices based on Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android platforms.

EE Business director Max Taylor said: "Alongside our Secure Mobility management software, the introduction of BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 means we are the only network operator to offer enterprise-grade security across all mobile operating systems, covering 3G and 4G devices."

BlackBerry UK & Ireland managing director Rob Orr said: "BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 builds on our decade long leadership in the mobile enterprise space with a unique end-to-end, multi-platform enterprise mobility management solution."

In addition, the BES 10 features BlackBerry Balance technology that allows users of BlackBerry 10 smartphones to have a Personal and a Work profile on the same device.
