A survey by Avanade of over 500 global C-level executives and IT decision-makers in 17 countries, has found that the number of respondents who say they are now under pressure to innovate rather than save costs has jumped by 56% since a similar survey in September 2009.

Nearly 80% of respondents say that the recent economic turmoil has caused their company to become more open to new technologies, while 75% of companies surveyed plan to increase the use of communications and collaboration technologies in the next year.
