Pebble has announced that its app will be available in German, Spanish and French, while the Android incarnation is expected to be launched soon.

Pebble recently rolled out a firmware update to support special characters, including "ß" and "Z", aimed at properly displaying words created from different alphabets, reported Venture Beat.

The firmware now facilitates the app to show the new language correctly.

The watch maker has also released a guide for developers that will help those who wish to introduce the new languages for the watch.

Pebble wearers will be able to switch between languages from the settings menu of iOS and Android apps.

Though there is no official word on what new languages will be added, according to the developer’s document it is predicted that Chinese could be one of them.

The company previously added support for notifications in over 90 languages and Tech Crunch reported Pebble as saying: "pave the way for more languages to come in the future, as Pebble steadily lands in more countries around the world".
