Microsoft has announced it is killing off its Office.com Clip Art which will be replaced by the updated Bing Image Search.
The move was triggered due to the declining popularity of clipart images.
Most references to Clip Art disappeared with Office 2013, but users were able to insert clipart images into documents using an Office.com Clip Art option which is now being replaced by Bing Images.
Microsoft said: "Customers can still add images to their documents, presentations, and other files that they have saved to their devices (phones, tablets, and PCs), OneDrive, and SharePoint.
"Customers also still have the ability to add images to their documents using Bing Image Search."
To avoid copyright related problems, Bing Image Search will use a copyright filter based on the creative commons licensing system which will only show up images that have been tagged with creative commons licenses.
A link of the image source will be provided to the users which will allow them to see the copyright disclaimer.
However, users will be provided with an option to switch settings that will show all the images including the ones that are copyrighted.
