Blackberry is reportedly offering $550 to users who trade their iPhones for the company’s flagship BlackBerry Passport, launching an onslought to lure in more customers.

The offer nicknamed, The BlackBerry Passport Trade-Up programme will commence in December, and iPhone users can get more than $600 back on the purchase of BlackBerry Passport depending upon the iPhone model and condition.

The qualifying models include iPhone 4S, 5, 5C, 5S, and 6 with offer total of $300 for 4S and up to $600 for the latest iPhone 6.

Apart from the rebate the company will also gift a $150 prepaid gift card.

The programme is limited to customers in North America and is a part of the Holiday promotion which is expected to last till 13th February.

The company has lost its market share to iPhones and Android based phones and now it is targeting business and government users, reported Bloomberg.

To get ahead of the competition and to offer something different the company reintroduced physical keyboard along with a wide screen with its latest BlackBerry Passport.
