HP has moved several executives into new positions, indicating that the planned division of the business into two units is moving forward.

HP operational performance SVP Chris Hsu will direct the split of HP Enterprise, which will trade hardware and consulting services to corporate customers.

Business Personal Systems SVP Enrique Lores will direct the formation of HP Inc, formed from the PC and printer units.

HP Enterprise Group COO Jim Murrin will lead the team dividing HP’s finance, tax, contracts and legal systems, Bloomberg reported.

Under current plans, Bloomberg reported, existing CEO Meg Whitman will be the CEO of the enterprise business, while also being the chairman of the PC and printer business.

The existing lead independent director Patricia Russo will be the new chairman of the enterprise firm, with the PC and printer unit to be lead by Dion Weisler as its CEO.

HP currently has about 300,000 employees and is still on course to generate $112bn in revenue during the current fiscal year.
