Intel Security has agreed to share security intelligence with Europol under a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The agreement will see both Intel and the European Cybercrime Centre (EC3) take part in operations together against cybercriminals, as well as trade best practices and data unrelated to the joint campaigns.
Raj Samani, chief technology officer for EMEA at Intel Security, said: "Cybercrime has advanced to a degree that no one entity can combat it alone.
"I’m excited to work with the excellent team Europol and contribute expertise so that we can together to effectively address the cybercrime problem."
Intel has a history of helping Europol, according Troels Oerting, head of EC3, with Europol seeking a broader approach to protecting the "digital lives" of Europeans.
EC3 has a number of partnerships and official advisors, including employees from Intel Security rivals Symantec and Trend Micro, in addition to the likes of Cisco and Verizon.
